🧤 A small gap worth thinking about
You pull on a coat, step outside, and notice the strip of wrist between sleeve and glove. This design starts with that ordinary commute detail. A longer ribbed cuff extends the glove beyond the hand, while a shallow outer-wrist notch gives the edge a different shape from a straight knitted tube. Graphite, muted teal, and ivory create a restrained combination that can sit beside a dark work coat or a lighter weekend jacket.
What changes at the wrist
The proposed hand section is a fine-knit full-finger glove. At the wrist, the texture changes to a deeper teal rib, finished with a narrow ivory fold. The notch is placed on the outside edge rather than across the palm. It is a visual and construction detail, not a claim that the glove seals out wind or fits every coat sleeve. The longer cuff can be arranged beneath or above a sleeve according to the eventual fit.
From the bus stop to the building entrance
Use the pair for ordinary cool-weather walking, waiting, and carrying a day bag. At the building entrance, remove a glove when a task needs bare fingertips. No touchscreen performance is promised. This gives the page a clear use story without treating an everyday accessory as protective equipment or a substitute for suitable gloves in severe conditions.
A closer look before ordering
Check palm width, finger length, and the opening measurements once the approved size chart is available. A hand that feels cramped will not become more comfortable because the cuff is longer. The final sample should also be checked while holding bag handles and moving the thumb. Do not choose only from a lifestyle photograph or assume the proposed sample dimensions represent every size.
Keep the knit looking considered
Keep the gloves away from exposed hook-and-loop fasteners and sharp bag hardware that may catch yarn. Let damp fabric dry fully before storing. Follow the final sewn-in care label; machine-wash, dryer, and shrink-resistance claims have not been established. Store the pair together so the matching cuffs remain easy to find.
Development specifications
Proposed construction: knitted textile hand with ribbed cuff and a soft brushed interior; final fiber percentages and lining construction require sample confirmation. Target total length 27 cm and cuff length 8 cm for the development sample; these are design targets, not a fit chart.
Included: One matched pair of full-finger gloves.
Proposed retail price: US$39.00. Non-electric design. No temperature rating, touchscreen function, waterproof performance, certification or medical benefit is claimed.
